any input from someone who had breast cancer and did the biopsy please leave me some input?

I've had both fine needle aspiration and solid core needle biopsies done. In both cases the most painful part was the sting of the local anasthetic for about 3 seconds when it was administered. Add: I am actually fascinated by things like this and as it was done under ultrasound guidence they let me watch on another screen.

In all honesty I dread the thought of having a core biopsy ever again. I do have to say though that looking back it wasn't really painful, it was more the psychological side of it. I was just plain terrified. Then I have always been a whimp and scared of needles of any kind. If you have to have a core biopsy just lie there, close your eyes and relax. The surgeon will give you a local anesthetic to stop you feeling it. I have been told that a fine needle biopsy doesn't hurt
