Is it possible that I could have breast cancer?
I'm 14 and breast cancer runs in my family. There's like this lymph node thing on the bottom part of my right breast and it feels like it's bruised and there's another one in it near my armpit. I told my mom and she said she'll do something about it. I'm just wondering cuz if it is cancer then i don't want it to get worse.

14 is wayyy too young ... dont worry about it but if you do i suggest checking a docter. There have been some cases of cancer in 14 year olds but its extreamly rare.

GO TO THE DOCTORS ASAP! thats what i did when i was worried too and they cleared things up for me and told me i was ok actually it was just hormones bcoz i was so young but PLEASE go n see ur doc just coz ur young dnt mean u cant get it spesh if u have family histroy good luck x

its usually a sign of cancer, but sometimes its not... if i had breasts with those bumps i would go see the doctor NOW

a lymph node under the armpit is a sign of breast cancer and since it runs in your family it's possible but opposing that, you're really young and breast cancer comes in when you're older. the best thing for you to do and the most accurate way to find out is to see your doctor immediately.

you would be pretty young to have breast cancer. at this age it is more likely fibro-cystic breast disease. my sister has this, and it is bothersome, but not cancerous (she is 48 now and had her first cyst at about 15). it will mean that you will have to be checked more thouroughly throughout your life to be sure none of the cysts are actually malignant. here's the thing: these cysts feel different than a lump that is cancerous. once you go to your doctor, she/he will probably do a breast ultrasound to rule out cancer. it s even possible that they will do a needle biopsy. but again, you are not likely to have breast cancer at your age.

Well if it's hereditary, then its possible. But the only way you can find out and get treament right away is to get a doctor to examine you.

hmm thats not good, it may be cancer but a SUPER LOW CHANCE, cancer in teenager is SO low, like nealry impossibl,e i you think its serious go to the doc, but its rare to get cancer at 14

Aww I hate to think you are worrying babes. Get your mum to make an appointment at the doctors just to put your mind as rest. Im sure that everything is just fine but you wont be able to relax about it until it is confirmed by the doctor. I think you are just to young to have such a problem, try not to worry too much and I hope everything will turn out well for you, im absolutely sure it will.

The best solution for you is to go to your doctor. 80% of lumps or nodes found in the breast are not cancer. Prayers are with you.

Ok well i must have breast cancer to cos i can feel my lymph nodes in my armpits and i ahve lumps on the bottom of my breasts. One on each side, easily moved. Have you thought maybe its a milk duct? there all over in your breasts. Dont jump to conclusions. Even th it run sin your family i doubt thats the problem at 14. All my lymph nodes are swollen but my dcotrs arent worried due to know bloods showing anything wrong besides i had glandular fever 4 months ago and a tooth infection 2 months ago. Ive had ct scans and ultrasounds and nothing is wrong. Dont stress, see a dcotor, have them feel the lump and see what they think.
