Breast implants increase risk of breast cancer?
Just wondering if getting breast implants increases a person's risk of breast cancer? I've heard that somewhere before. Thanks.

There is no research that shows implants increase the risk of breast cancer. At one time (decades ago) there was a problem with leakage from implants, which could form lumps elsewhere, not necessarily cancerous. There is some risk that the implant may disguise the development of a cancerous lump, so it is slower to be detected, but this is not a significant risk.

I"m pretty sure that they DECREASE the risk if you have a family history and ask the doctor to do so. The doctor will suck all the tissue out and just put implants in. I saw this on a show.
