Is It Weird To Dye My Hair Pink In Support Of Breast Cancer Research?
I was thinking of dyeing my hair pink (I'm a girl) in support of breast cancer research. Is that weird? Don't be rude, people. Thanks!

I mean, it's your head and it is a great cause! A lot of people dye their hair pink just for the heck of it- at least you have a reason you can discuss with people and bring more awareness to the cause. I say go for it!

Google hair dyes & cancer spec. black hair dyes which is made from tar. Some people smoke & tan all their lives and do not get cancer. But there are 2nd hand & 3rd hand smoke who are now carrying their oxygen tank so they can breath or have cancer. Same with hair dyes. I've responded 3 in the last 15 mins. 9-26-10. If you're not affected today, or next month, you may never be affected and you're one of the lucky ones. It doesn't take overnight, it takes years of hair experimentation with hair dyes. No I don't think it's weird. I think it actually cool. Although I would be careful, you said it was for research, if your school allows it then go a head but if not then I wouldn't risk getting into trouble. And ps- if you do do it just make sure to get it done professionally, my grandma owns her own salon and I have seen the horrid mistakes people can make and sometimes they're reeeeally hard to fix hope I helped!

Maybe some people will think it's weird but who cares? If you have a job, it might be a good idea to check with your boss first, but otherwise, I say go for it. I can't think of a better reason to dye your hair pink. If you're concerned about what others think, maybe you could also wear the pink ribbon. Then, anybody with half a brain will figure it out. People who know you shouldn't mind, and people who are bothered by it aren't worth your time.
