Wow, where did you hear that one from? I'm pretty sure you dont have breast cancer. Put simply, it's due to an increase in hormones, and can also be linked to your genes ( if you have a family history) or even radiation exposure. Don't worry.

Sleeping with your bra on is NOT going to cause breast cancer - nor does it make your boobs not grow. Both are myths. Cancer is an abnormal growth. Usually impossible to stop, unless it's skin or lung - which is self-inflicted. I doubt you have breast cancer. You are young. Nipples can hurt/sting if it's cold or if it's rubbing against your clothes.

There are a variety of risk factors for breast cancer. Sleeping in a bra is NOT one of them. Being 14 is also NOT a risk factor. The biggest risk factor is gender, being a woman puts ou at risk, 99% of those diagnosed are female. The next biggest risk factor is age, 80% of those diagnosed are over 50. Other risk factors include starting menstruation early or finishing late, having a first child late, not breast feeding, obesity, lack of Vit D, family history etc. Most of these risk factors are less important. Many people cite hereditary factors as being a major factor but, in fact, less than 10% of breast cancers are due to hereditary factors. In a teenager, things like tenderness, lumpiness, enevenness etc are usually due to normal breast development and hormones, what you are describing can also be caused by irritation from a badly fitting bra or reaction to washing powder residue.
