If a person is tired alot, could breast cancer be the cause?
My girlfriend had a benign tumor removed from her right breast two years ago, and has been feeling tired and weak for about the last year. Two days ago, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and it is moving quickly. We want to know, but cant find any information, whether or not her symptoms could be linked to the breast cancer. She has always eaten healthy, exercised everyday, and is otherwise in good health. Although she does seem to get ill a couple times every year. she realized she was tired and weak, long before she found out she had breast cancer.

it can be. but breast cancer doesn't usually have systemic effects unless advanced. her symptoms may also be related to psychological factors, malnutrition, vitamin deficiency. its better to ask your doctor.

You need an oncologist and full body scans with dye and an isotope. If you don't have health insurance call the health department and find someone to help you. Don't wait!

Yes, tiredness and weakness can be due to the cancer and is most likely due to the cancer. The cancer was probably growing and affecting her body a year ago. Cancer can be growing for a long time before a person finds out about it.
