What age Is too young for breast cancer

What age Is too young for breast cancer?
Recently my left breast has been verrry tender, and the top I feel a lump, a good size one too. I just turned 20 in august, everyone says it's too young but not impossible for me to have breast cancer, it runs in my family. I have to wait until January to get back on my parents insurance.. I'm really scared :/

At 20, your risk of breast cancer is still very slight. Breast cancer is rarely tender. This is far more likely to be a cyst. I would be getting it checked now (free clinic?) to set your mind at rest.

it wouldn't be tender, it would be a hard, painless lump. as someone already said, you could go to a free clinic or something, to put your mind at rest.

Don't be scared. It's very rare for a woman your age to develop breast cancer. It usually manifest itself during or after menopause. At 20 your breast will be naturally lumpy due to hormones preparing you for motherhood. In fact doctors discourage self exams. A lot of women do self exames at your age but it's only lumpy because your hormones are going wild. The norm for self exams is around late 30's and on. Even then , they are mostly benign I hope I put your mind at ease. Be blessed

You definetly don't have breast cancer. Breast Cancer doesn't hurt, and is always below the surface of the breast, located primarily in the ducts. When I had breast Cancer at the age of 43, I didn't feel any pain, No lump, No nothing, and neither did my doctor. If it wasn't for my yearly mammogram, I would be still walking around with it..Pain Free
