does storing your mobile in your bra give your breast cancer?
I know it may be a bit stupid but a friend told me that the radiation emmitted by the phone could give you breast cancer?

This is definately a myth. My ex girlfriend was also convinced that setting your laptop on your lap would kill your ovaries and give you ovarian cancer. This is definately not true. I'm sitting right now with my laptop on my lap, and my phone in my cleavage, and i'm fit as a fiddle. Definately a myth.

I'd say it CAN lead to breast cancer, but it's not absolute. I'm no expert, but I'd think if your phone gives off radiation and ur constantly storing it that close to your breast, the (constant exposure to ) radiation can induce your breast cells acquire a mutation in their growth pathway. Now if these mutated cells continue to grow at a faster rate than your normal cells and spread, then that's cancer right there. However, I think the likelihood of getting cancer from storing ur cell there once in a while is slim, though it is possible. Here's an analogy: Too much sun exposure/ tanning can cause skin cancer: you're constantly overexposing your skin to harmful UV radiation which can induce harmful mutations in skin cells to become cancer cells. However, your chances of getting skin cancer from UV radiation if you only spend a couple minutes in the sun daily are less, and pretty much zero if you spend all your time indoors (or work the night shift).

No. You will not find mobile phones listed as a breast cancer risk factor by any responsible breast cancer organisation, website or charity. No link between mobile/cell phones and any type of cancer has been proven
