as long as u have it you can get it. not as much as women, but it is in fact possible, i dont have the exact statistics but it is not that common. here are the facts: Male breast cancer is rare. It happens most often to men between the ages of 60 and 70. Risk factors for male breast cancer include exposure to radiation, a family history of breast cancer and having high estrogen levels, which can occur with diseases like cirrhosis or Klinefelter's syndrome. Symptoms of male breast cancer include lumps, changes to the nipple or breast skin, or discharge of fluid from the nipple. Treatment for male breast cancer is usually a mastectomy, which is surgery to remove the breast. Other treatments include radiation, chemotherapy and/or hormone therapy.
Any age, male or female can have breast cancer as either a primary site or secondary site. The reason is because everyone has breast tissue . . women just have more and so are more likely to get breast cancer than men or children. It's rare, but it happens. Yes, men can get breast cancer, though it is rare and usually occurs in men between the ages of 60 and 70. Women are 100 times more likely to be diagnosed with breast cancer. According to the National Cancer Institute, about 2,030 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year, and 450 will die from it.
Men do get breast cancer. And they have a hard time treating it because there is no medical term for a male mastectomy and some insurance company's won't pay for the surgery. It's low, where women is like 1 in 8 I want to say men is something like 1 in 400. But yes, they get it just like women, as technically the top part of your pecs are breasts
