i think it's pretty high, cause they have so much modern technology...i saw once a 15 year old got it, and they had to take her boobs off...then she had fake ones, but she's really healthy now...i think thats all that really matters
its rare for a 16 yr old to have breast cancer but survival rates high unless it spreads
girl all you gotta do is exercise, exercise and exercise but dont kill your self. you should take early morning jogs and eat healthy not fast foods like k.f.c or Burger king and McDonald's but you can have pizza especially the vegetable type.
Anyone with a breast can get cancer..even a man. Chances are just higher the older you get. Now a days the survival rate of cancer is fantasatically high and cancer is no longer a death sentence. if a 16 year old girl has it..the chances of survival are good as long as the cancer has been found early and has not spread. Those chances are the same for an older woman too.
Yes it's possible for a 16 year to get breast cancer. The survival rate would most certainly depend on the type, stage of the cancer at the time the diagnosis was made and the response to the treatment(s)
talk to Cancer Treatment Centers of America. they won't put an expiration date on your life !
Cancer in younger women tends to be far more aggressive of a cancer than in older women. Breast cancer in younger women tends to be estrogen and progesterone negative which means that there are less treatment options, such as being able to take Tamoxifen. It also can mean that the cancer is growing at a faster rate and spreading quicker than it would with a less aggressive form of breast cancer. With that being said, I would think 16 year old patients with breast cancer probably have a higher rate of death from breast cancer than an older generation of breast cancer patients. This isn't to say that a young cancer patient would definitely have an aggressive form of breast cancer but it is more common than not. I got lucky, as a young breast cancer survivor to not have an aggressive form
